What a month it has been... I came up with this new rainbow design yesterday. I can't get over how satisfying it feels. It looks better in person, the camera can't quite capture its joyful rustic essence. Calendar by @katiedaisy_artist ... This is my favorite month so far in the calendar. When the year is over I will cut out these delightful yellow birds and put them up in my home somewhere. They bring me so much joy!

Decided to add some more sunshine.
I've been off social media and plan to stay off for quite awhile longer. I hope to pop on here from time to time to remind you that I'm still here and my Etsy shop is still open. My life is currently in a stage of serious transition (as I'm sure it is for many of us right now). Today I managed to sum it up in the following poetic lines: "How does it feel to lose everything that was never mine to begin with?" It is a time of reckoning. I have a wall hanging I created a couple months ago surrounding the theme I now find myself living out. The chaotic energies of the Dark Goddess reveal themselves before being unleashed. This time the grief is not so all-encompassing. This time I realize I can feel my feet. That's enough cryptic musings from me for now. Maybe I'll get around to sharing some new pieces soon. Here's a rainbow to cheer your feed.
I sewed this little apple pillow in 2015 and it's one of my favorite things! It was a Pinterest-inspired project, of course :) I was happy to use this red and white checkered fabric which I normally dislike... it looks adorable as an apple!

My husband inspired this peace sign design months ago- I was trying to explain a chakra design I was imagining and he said, "Like a peace sign?" I responded slowly, "Nooo... but that's a great idea!" Omg this thing was a major pain in the butt. Trying to get seven diamonds to exactly fit into the hoop was no small feat. I had to undo and redo several times. Then when I got the side pieces and fringe on, I was very underwhelmed with the fringe. I kept cutting and cutting, trying to get the right angle so it didn't look stupid. I'm still not sure I succeeded. Once I finally glued the chakra stones on, I thought maybe it's not completely terrible. My plan was to take off the sides and the fringe and do something else. But my husband loves it and he's convinced it will sell. Honestly, I'm so tired of working on it I'd like to say good riddance and be done. I'm in no mood to list it in my shop but if you're interested in buying it, let me know! I haven't nailed down a price yet but I'm thinking around $70. I think I will hang it in my husband's office since he likes it so much. Tell me honestly- what do you think? One thing is for sure...
